Often selected by clients who want a stained wood look, oak cabinets are our most economical choice in natural wood cabinets. The wood grain is heavier and more noticeable than on maple cabinets, so oak is a better choice for stained finishes than painted finishes. If you are interested in a more rustic look, we recommend alder cabinets or hickory cabinets.
